Michael Jordan would
never imagine that his shoes will be this kind of popular now days worldwide.
There is the 29th generation of Air Jordan soon will be
released this year that means from year of 1984-85 till now, his shoes lasts
nearly 30 years even he has already retired from the court. And there are still
thousands even millions of people are chasing the movement and consume the
shoes as a great honor of collection. I am one of those guys.

Me wearing the Pack |
I still remember the first time when I lined up overnight for buying
limited editions of Air Jordan outside the Footlocker Store is 18 August 2012.
It was extremely cold in August at Australian, and the shoes I lined up for is
the “Air Jordan ‘Golden Moments’ Pack” which is absolutely amazing with two
colors of black VII and white VI.

“Air Jordan ‘Golden Moments’ Pack” |
I told myself that I
have to get this pack because it’s so beautiful. And I went
to the George Street at 9pm on Friday and stood out there for almost 11 hours
and waited the store to open at 8am on Saturday. It was crazy and I met many
people who love Air Jordan and be willing to spend thousands of dollars for one
limited pair of shoes. There is even someone lined up for 2 days for some
shoes. People passed us by and said is there a new iPhone released at
Footlocker? This is a crazy experience of me by consuming shoes.
And then I heard a
song named “Wings” by Macklemore &
Ryan Lewis, it is based on his own experience of loving Michael Jordan and his
shoes since very young and the truth about some of people only consume what the
movement told them to consume. And he points out that Air Jordan is just a pair
of shoes, but many people would risk everything to get it even for his life
just to show off to others, therefore people should aware of that many
companies like Nike just sell a brand name and nothing else, we should know how
the value or art is from the shoes, not manipulate by them to consume and wear
what we're told is cool, because it's not about what we wear, it's about what
we do.
